The original “Duffy’s Drafthouse”, was founded in 1985 by two childhood friends who became business partners in Lake Park, Florida. At the time, the menu was simple, offering just four items: a Grilled Mahi Sandwich, Hot Ham and Cheese, Smoked Sausage, and a ½ lb. Cheeseburger. Each dish was served with potato chips, eliminating the need for silverware or a fryer. From the start, Duffy's Drafthouse earned a reputation for serving "The Coldest Beer" and "The Best Burger" in town, quickly becoming a local favorite.

Old Florida Mockingbird
Ingredients
1.5 oz Jamaican or dark rum
1 tsp honey, preferably Tupelo
1 oz cardamon simple syrup
4 oz club soda or sparkling water
Freshly ground black pepper
Cardamon Syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 tsp ground cardamon
Steps
Make the simple syrup in a small pot over medium heat. Cook until the sugar is melted. Add ground cardamon. Allow the syrup to steep and cool for about 30 minutes.
Add the rum, syrup and honey to the cocktail shaker. Add ice and gently stir. Pour into an iced filled cocktail glass. Top with sparkling water and a few grinds of black pepper. Garnish with a rosemary sprig.
