Campfires & BBQs
Each tent includes a fire ring and grill, perfect for open-fire cooking under the stars. For easy, no-fail campfire meals, charcoal packs are available on-site. Firewood can be purchased for $10 per bundle, and if you’d rather skip the work, a Campfire Valet is on-call to handle the setup and lighting for you. Complimentary gas BBQs are also located throughout the property for added convenience. When it’s time to clean up, five well-equipped wash stations with hot water, soap, and sponges make the task quick and pleasant.

Bathhouses & Spa
Unwind after a day of adventure with a soothing hot shower. Simply grab a basket of fresh towels from your tent and head to one of two thoughtfully designed bathhouses. Each features both indoor and outdoor showers, spacious and beautifully maintained restrooms, and a welcoming atmosphere. Warm lighting, EO Marin bath products, fresh flowers, and oversized stalls—perfect for families—add a touch of comfort and luxury. Conveniently located at the heart of the property, these bathhouses are sure to become a favorite part of your stay.
The Meadow Commons & Games
The Meadow Commons is the lively heart of camp, buzzing with activity from sunrise to sunset. It’s where morning coffee, tea, cocoa, and a warm bite to eat are served by the fire, and where guests gather for nature walks and group adventures. With ample seating and open-air sunshine when the weather allows, it’s the perfect place to unwind—whether you’re flipping through a book from the lending library or sharing a game with friends. Whether you're looking to connect or simply relax, the Commons is your go-to retreat.
Spend a peaceful afternoon soaking in the tranquility of the campground—whether you're swaying in a hammock, reading on your private deck, or wandering the scenic Fern Canyon Loop Trail. A beautiful path leads directly from camp to Big River, where you can rent canoes and paddle upriver for a bit of adventure. That same trail continues to the Mendocino Bay Overlook, offering sweeping coastal views that are especially breathtaking at sunset.
If you're in the mood for some play, head to the Meadow for a friendly game of bocce ball or horseshoes. Inside the office, you’ll find a generous selection of board games and books available to borrow. With county approval, we also offer weekend yoga sessions at 9:30 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, along with guided hikes led by our resident naturalist at 9 AM. These morning hikes are a wonderful way to discover local plants, wildlife, and the rich history of Mendocino.
